God sent his Son- they called Him Jesus;
He came to love, heal and forgive.
He lived and died to buy my pardon;
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.
Because He lives I can face tomorrow;
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

Wasn't that published by Mara-natha? Or is it Marathona? Or something...
I do not know, but I doubt it.
Puh-leez...
Maybe it's a sin, but I don't like the melody to this song. I do, however, love the words. This song and that one about "Jesus, Jesus, friend of sinners" are ruined forever for me because my good friends from back home used to sing them in this horrible falsetto all the time and it drove me crazy because I was ALMOST a music major once upon a time.
I think that sentence was almost declared a run-on.
See ya!
Scott, instead of emailing you, I'm just going to post here. Here's the thing about #10. Yes, there are Prof/scholars who teach 10% of the time and try to push their "novel" ideas on you 90% of the time. But I'm sure that's true everywhere. The majority of Profs aren't like that here. Everywhere you go, especially if you're looking at a place like PTS or Duke, you're going to have top scholars who are writing and publishing "ground-breaking" stuff, so they'll teach it to you too. It's nice in a way, but can be annoying.
As for busy-work, it just comes with the territory. PTS as well as every other seminary has their hoops to jump through. Speech, Preaching, Field Ed., and mandatory Seminars are a pain in the butt. However, as much as I absolutely hated some of these (speech mostly) they stretched me beyond belief, I'm a much better preacher/public speaker now. Intro Classes have a decent amount of busy work too, but if you were a religion major at IWU you'll be able to get out of most everything (probably not theology though). You'll find busy work everywhere, but you might want to look into the difference that Div schools and Seminaries have. I know Yale Div School doesn't have as many demands as PTS. But either way you won't get out of busy work until you're at the Ph.D. level, and you'll never get away from Profs pushing their theories on you, that's just how the system works man! If there's anything else I can help you with let me know.
